After 18 years in Public Accounting and Senior Financial leadership roles in private industry, Ray Smith formed Ray Smith CPA PLLC in 2000. Ray’s vision was to create a firm that would be a financial partner and resource for small businesses. Since 2000, the firm has developed a diverse clientele whose annual revenues range from $500,000 to $7,500,000. The firm’s goal is to remain as a trusted advisor and financial resource for accounting, payroll and taxation to small businesses throughout the state of Texas.

More about our Founder

Ray has over 40 years’ experience as a CPA and financial executive. His career began as a staff accountant in a CPA firm and gradually progressed through roles as Director of Taxation for an oil and gas investment firm, Controller of an oil field services firm and Director of Finance for a multi-national Inspection & Engineering company. Ray continues to be actively involved in the firm on a daily basis.
